Barks aka Barks Brothers started about 15 years ago with a husky mix puppy named Homer. Not the most well behaved boy and not food motivated. What were we to do. Make a treat that he couldn’t resist. We did and Barks Bites were born. I became obsessed with canine nutrition and making food for Homer and his sweet little brother Butters. Also a husky mix, same mom and dad, different litter. The company Barks aka Barks Brothers came to life. Still learning about canine health and nutrition I became a certified canine/feline nutritionist. This year I opened Barks Gourmet Dog Deli in. Basalt Colorado. Come on in for jerky, bone broth all kinds of cool nutritious treats and biologically appropriate food by the pound.
